Overview

The Small Research Grant Program for the Next Generation of Researchers in Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementia (AD/ADRD) Research (R03) is a financial support opportunity that is open for both budding and established researchers. Its aim is to facilitate and stimulate high-quality research that could contribute to better prevention, effective diagnosis, improved treatment, and enhanced caregiving for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia (AD/ADRD).

This grant is designed to cover a broad spectrum of topics under the umbrella of AD/ADRD. Its underlying objectives are twofold. First, it aspires to motivate and empower emerging researchers to kick-start and pursue a career in AD/ADRD research. Additionally, it intends to encourage established researchers who haven't yet garnered a major award in AD/ADRD research to conduct preliminary studies. These pilot studies are expected to cultivate innovative research programs in AD/ADRD that complement and expand upon the researchers' existing skill set and expertise.

The underlying aim here is to stimulate effective, tailored clinical methodology and innovative research studies, thereby ultimately improving the lives of those impacted by AD/ADRD.
