Overview
Successful applications should propose interventions that encompass not only cancer screening, preventive services, but also other healthcare processes. This includes the swift follow-up to irregular screening results and referrals to easily accessible healthcare services. Applicants are encouraged to establish partnerships with local community and service providers to execute these projects effectively.
Ideally, the proposed interventions should tackle obstacles at two or more levels including the patient, clinician, healthcare setting, and surrounding neighborhood or community. The specific areas of study sought by the involved NIH ICs are discussed in detail within the proposal.
