Overview

The International Research in Infectious Diseases grant (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) seeks to support high-priority research into infectious diseases that are significant to certain regions. This funding is specifically for international investigators based in resource-constrained countries.

To apply, your organization must be based in a non-U.S. country that falls into either the low-income, lower-middle-income, or upper-middle-income bracket, as determined by World Bank Classification. Particular emphasis is on organizations stationed in countries with low- and lower-middle income economies. The eligibility of candidate organizations will be evaluated using the World Bank Classification list at the time the application is submitted.
