Overview

Michigan's Nonpoint Source (NPS) Program helps local stakeholders reduce nonpoint source pollution and excessive runoff by supporting the implementation of approved watershed management plans to protect high quality waters and restore impaired waters. Eligible applicants must supply proof of a successful audit at the time of the full application. Projects are eligible if they implement priority recommendations to address nonpoint source pollution in critical or priority areas designated in a state- and federally-approved nine-element watershed management plan or a USEPA-approved Tribal NPS management program plan. The application process consists of a mandatory Notice of Intent (NOI) pre-application phase, followed by an invitation-only full proposal submission.
