Overview

MDHHS and MICHWA will partner together to develop an oral health micro credential for Michigan’s community health worker (CHW) community. This course will prepare CHW’s to address challenges within Michigan’s dental public health system and navigate patients to care. Course content will be developed by MDHHS and a team of partners and the course will be administered by MICHWA. Content will include a series of modules on selected topics. Students who complete this course will have specialized knowledge in oral health and the skill set to function as a resource for oral health related navigation within their organization.
