Hunger-Free Campus Activities Grant

The Hunger-Free Campus Activities Grant supports public, Tribal, and independent institutions of higher education in Michigan in implementing sustainable solutions to addressing student basic needs on campus, and specifically food insecurity among students. Ideally, these strategies and solutions are developed in partnership with local and/or state organizations that address food insecurity.

Eligible applicants are Michigan community colleges, Tribal colleges, public colleges and universities, and independent colleges and universities. Priority is given to sustainable approaches that establish or enhance partnerships with local or state organizations combating food insecurity.

Funded projects must implement sustainable solutions addressing campus food insecurity within a short grant cycle of approximately six months. Award amounts are capped at up to $100,000, and the grant term concludes on September 30, 2026.

Applicants must complete and submit the official Hunger-Free Campus Activities Grant Application document.
