Overview
The Hunger-Free Campus Activities Grant supports public, Tribal, and independent institutions of higher education in Michigan in implementing sustainable solutions to addressing student basic needs on campus, specifically food insecurity of students. Eligible entities include Michigan community colleges, Tribal colleges, public colleges and universities, and independent colleges and universities. Proposed projects should ideally feature strategies and solutions carried out in partnership with local and/or state organizations addressing food insecurity. Funded activities must provide approved, sustainable solutions across an approximately six-month grant period ending September 30, 2026. Applicants must complete the official Hunger-Free Campus Activities Grant Application document and submit it via email to MiLEAP-OHE-GrantsApply@michigan.gov by February 13, 2026 at 3:00 p.m.
