2026 Healthy Kids Initiative

The Healthy Kids Initiative builds on a history of deep investment in children's health through an integrated approach designed to maximize impact on children, youth, and families in Michigan. The program supports community-driven solutions that improve health from before birth through young adulthood in all the settings that shape children's well-being. It prioritizes projects across the state with potential to strengthen health supports for children, their families, and other people who care for them, while informing policy, influencing systems, or offering models that others can implement, grow, and adapt. The 2026 grantmaking emphasizes four primary priorities: Access to Care and Support, Maternal and Infant Health, Nutrition and Physical Activity, and Integrated Models for Children's Health. Applicants need an account in the Fluxx grants portal to be listed as a contact or submit an application. New users must request an account by Thursday, May 28 to guarantee access by the June 4 application deadline. Concept papers are due March 30, 2026, and full applications are due June 4, 2026.
