Overview

The purpose of this project is to develop a bold, future-focused vision for public health in Michigan that strengthens the state's capacity to protect and improve the health of all residents. This vision emerged from an initial meeting in March 2024 of state and local public health leaders. To ensure this vision reflects the broad, multi-sector nature of improving public health, we have sought input from hundreds of local public health staff, as well as key partners in other sectors. This initiative aims to define a shared direction that will lead to improved public health outcomes.
