ESSA Regional Intermediate School District Partnership Grant

The ESSA Regional Intermediate School District Partnership Grant is administered by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) Office of Educational Supports under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), authorized under Section 8304(a)(3)(A)(B)(C) regarding the general applicability of state agency assurances. The goal of the grant program is to foster regional intermediate school district partnerships that coordinate and provide educational supports and technical assistance to local educational agencies and schools.

Applicants must be regional Intermediate School Districts (ISDs) in Michigan that meet the federal statutory assurance requirements under Section 8304. These assurances require participating entities to ensure programs are administered in accordance with all applicable statutes, regulations, and state-approved plans, and that fiscal control and fund accounting procedures are followed.

Eligible projects focus on regional ISD partnership initiatives that support educational programs under ESSA, regional collaboration, student achievement, and compliance with federal educational standards across constituent districts.

Applications and allocations are managed by the Michigan Department of Education.
