Examples of eligible projects include health care facilities (hospitals, clinics, nursing homes), public safety services (fire stations, police stations), educational facilities (schools, museums, libraries), and utility services.
Applications for this program are accepted year-round. The process is initiated through a private lender (such as a bank or credit union), who applies for the loan guarantee from USDA Rural Development on behalf of the borrower.
