Reliable Rides Incentive Grant Pilot Program

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Education and Training (LEO-E&T) is launching the Reliable Rides Incentive Grant Pilot Program to support employers in addressing workforce transportation challenges. The initiative encourages employers to utilize the Reliable Rides: Connecting Workers to Jobs playbook to develop and implement actionable transportation models that improve employee retention, productivity, and access to work, with the ultimate goal of identifying replicable and sustainable solutions that reduce transportation barriers and strengthen workforce participation across Michigan.

Employers or entities partnering with employers are eligible to participate. Applicants must include the legal organization name and Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) for all participating employers to ensure compliance with state tax obligations, including corporate, sales, use, withholding, personal income, and unemployment insurance taxes.

Eligible projects focus on creating and implementing sustainable, replicable transportation models that connect workers to jobs and mitigate commuting challenges faced by employees.

Grant proposals and required documentation must be submitted via email to LEO-Mi-Auto-Workforce-Hub@michigan.gov.
