Reliable Rides Incentive Grant Pilot Program

The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, Education and Training (LEO-E&T) is launching a pilot incentive grant program to support employers in addressing workforce transportation challenges. The goal is to identify replicable and sustainable solutions that reduce transportation barriers and strengthen workforce participation across Michigan. This initiative encourages employers to utilize the Reliable Rides: Connecting Workers to Jobs playbook to develop and implement actionable transportation models that improve employee retention, productivity, and access to work. Eligible applicants include employers and partnering entities; all applications must include the employer's Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) and legal organization name to ensure compliance with state tax obligations. Completed grant proposals and required documentation must be submitted via email to LEO-Mi-Auto-Workforce-Hub@michigan.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on Monday, February 9, 2026.
