Overview

The Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program (RMAP) in Michigan provides loans and grants to Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs) to help microenterprises start and grow. The goal is to support the development and ongoing success of rural microentrepreneurs. Eligible applicants are MDOs, including non-profit entities, Indian tribes, and public institutions of higher education. MDOs use the funds to provide microloans for business startup or expansion and to offer technical assistance and training to microentrepreneurs. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year.
