Overview

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Sustainable Materials Management Unit is offering grants for Electronics Recycling Collection Events and operations. The primary objectives of the Grant Program are to provide ongoing support for permanent electronics recycling collection sites, reduce the cost of collection events in underserved (rural) portions of Michigan, and support Michigan-based electronics recyclers with operational efficiency updates.

Eligible projects must involve/address electronics recycling. Impacted facilities must be occupied and have long range plans for continued use. Grants for event funding are not available to communities or organizations that choose to use EGLE grant funds when previous funding sources are still available. Projects that only serve a limited-service area, do not use a Michigan Registered Electronics Recycler, or will not be conducted in Michigan are ineligible.

Applicants must submit a complete response to the RFP, addressing the Program Objectives, Program Priorities, and Applicant Tasks. Required information includes a Grant Application Cover Sheet, Completed Budget Form, Detailed Timeline, and Applicant Organizational Chart. Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 PM on September 30, 2024.
