Overview

Goal/purpose: EGLE is offering grants for pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for projects that utilize renewable energy and energy efficiency resource technologies, as well as provide support for education, outreach, and other training activities that provide Michigan businesses, communities, and citizens with information to make informed energy decisions.

Additional applicant eligibility criteria: Applicants must be physically located in Michigan and provide a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number. Any non-profit, 501(c)(3), 501(c)(6), local or tribal government, public sector organization, or small business (under 500 employees) is eligible.

Project eligibility: Eligible projects must involve/address energy efficiency, energy waste reduction, renewable energy, energy storage, or other energy-related topics. Ineligible projects include those deemed illegal, scientifically unsound, not conducted in Michigan, involving non-commercially available equipment, or requiring an environmental assessment study under NEPA without DOE approval.

Application process: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all funds are allocated. Applicants must submit a complete response to the RFP, including an online application, approved budget form, certificate of indirect costs (if applicable), detailed timeline, organizational charts, and other required attachments.
