Reconnect Enroll with Momentum Grants

The Reconnect Enroll with Momentum Grants support strategies that increase college enrollment among current and potential Michigan Reconnect applicants by addressing barriers that prevent adults from starting, renewing, or persisting in their postsecondary education. Recognizing that adult learners beginning college for the first time or returning several years after leaving without earning a degree face unique obstacles, these grants empower institutions to identify enrollment barriers and propose evidence-informed strategies to boost adult enrollment, persistence, and completion. Eligible applicants are Michigan community colleges and Tribal colleges that apply in formal partnership with a county government or quasi-governmental body with at least a county-wide footprint, such as a Workforce Development Board or Economic Development Corporation. Grant funding supports approved campus and community activities designed to resolve adult postsecondary barriers. Applications must be completed using the official application document and submitted via email to MiLEAP-OHE-GrantsApply@michigan.gov rather than an online portal, with optional pre-review preliminary proposals accepted prior to the final deadline.
