Overview

The Reconnect Community Action Grants provide funding to grow community support and partnerships for postsecondary pathways. The goal is to build and strengthen community partnerships that expand access to postsecondary learning pathways, specifically focusing on adult enrollment and Reconnect conversion.

Eligible applicants include Community Colleges and Tribal Colleges in partnership with County Governments. Successful grants must demonstrate robust partnership from county government and other community-based partners at the leadership, strategy, and implementation levels. Regranting to community partners is expected. If multiple colleges are in an application's geography, they must be part of a single application.

Projects can utilize funds from two sources: 1) Reconnect Entry Point Collaboratives, which support county-wide or regional efforts to increase college enrollment and set a local 2030 attainment goal; and 2) College and Career Navigators, which support navigators connected to a collaborative effort pursuing a local educational attainment goal. Navigators should be connected to community colleges but placed with county governments or community partners.

Community and Tribal colleges are invited to submit one application for projects utilizing funds from one or both sources. The application window is currently closed.
