Overview
Eligible applicants must be a licensed child care organization (for before/after-school or school-age programs, or hold a camp license), an entity with an active application to be licensed, or an entity exempt from child care licensing by the State of Michigan Licensing Bureau. Awardees with pending licensing applications must complete the process and submit an approved license before providing services and receiving grant fund disbursements.
Program sites must provide in-person programming serving at least 15 students daily. During the school year, programs must operate for at least 50 days (with a minimum of 1 hour before school, 2 hours after school, or 3 hours for combined before-and-after-school care). Summer programs must operate for at least 4 hours per day for a minimum of 24 days.
