Overview

The Out-of-School Time and Summer Learning initiative invests state and federal funds to expand access to high-quality before-school, after-school and summer learning programs. These grants support hands-on learning in STEM, art, music, literacy, mentoring, community engagement and more. Eligible applicants must be a licensed child care organization, have an active application to be licensed, or be an exempt entity. Upon award, programs with an active application must complete the process before starting service. Program sites must provide in-person OST programming, at a minimum: at least 50 days of program services during the school year for at least 15 students daily 1 hour before school, or a minimum of 2 hours after-school, or 3 hours for both, and/or at least 4 hours per day for a minimum of 24 days during the summer for at least 15 students daily. The 2025-26 OST Grant Application has closed and no late applications will be accepted.
