Overview
Additional applicant eligibility criteria: Applicants must be a public water system (community water supply or non-profit non-community water supply). Disadvantaged communities (overburdened or significantly overburdened) may qualify for additional subsidization in the form of principal forgiveness and lower interest rates.
Project eligibility: Eligible projects include the replacement and repair of drinking water infrastructure, lead service line replacement (LSLR), and addressing emerging contaminants such as PFAS.
Application process: The application is a multi-step process. Applicants must first submit an electronic Intent to Apply (ITA) form by November 1. Following the ITA, applicants must submit an Overburdened Determination Survey and Final Project Planning Documents by June 1. Projects are then scored, ranked, and placed on a Project Priority List (PPL) for funding allocation.
