Overview

The Farm to Family Food Hubs and Farm Stops Grant Program aims to strengthen Michigan's middle-of-the-supply-chain agri-food systems by supporting food hubs and farm stops. The funding helps deliver locally produced and healthy food to Michiganders while creating economic opportunities for Michigan farmers. Eligible applicants must be Michigan-based farm stops adhering to specific definitions (such as operating a year-round, retail-style market on a consignment model) or Michigan-based food hubs recognized by and listed on the Michigan Food Hub Network Directory. Eligible projects should demonstrate expansion of current service delivery, new service delivery, equipment purchases, market access plans, distribution, and/or additional processing capacity expansion plans. Salaries, wages, staff benefits, and travel costs are not eligible. Applicants must apply through the MiAgGrants site and must be registered as a vendor in the State of Michigan's SIGMA Vendor Self Service system prior to submitting an application.
