Equine Grant Program

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), along with the Horse Racing Advisory Commission, offers the Equine Grant Program to assist in the promotion of horse racing and equine-related support within Michigan. The program provides funding for the promotion and marketing of horse racing, equine-related research, equine-related support and aftercare, and other equine-related or horse racing programs. Eligible applicants include horse owner and breeder organizations, entities that host and/or promote harness racing, and other eligible organizations within the equine industry. Eligible projects must focus on advancing horse racing promotion, supporting equine care and aftercare, conducting relevant equine research, or operating related industry initiatives. Applicants must submit grant proposals via email by the deadline specified in the annual program guidelines.
