Overview

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is offering grants to increase operational efficiencies for large volume collectors and registered electronics recyclers. The goal is to support facility enhancements and equipment purchases that expedite the handling and processing of covered electronic devices or foster collection and transportation.

Eligible projects include the purchase of tractors, trailers, box trucks, pickup trucks, and other transportation equipment dedicated to electronics recycling; processing equipment such as tools, worktables, safety equipment, and material handling equipment; facility improvements associated with safe handling; and mileage charges for "milk run" collection activities involving at least three permanent collection locations in underserved areas.

To apply, applicants must submit a complete response to the Request for Proposals (RFP), addressing program objectives, priorities, and tasks. Required documentation includes a Grant Application Cover Sheet, Completed Budget Form, Detailed Timeline, Applicant Organizational Chart, and other applicable forms. Proposals must be submitted by email to the contact listed in the RFP.
